Request Account Deletion
At BookZiyarat, we value your privacy. In compliance with Google Play and Apple App Store data safety guidelines, we provide a straightforward process to request the deletion of your account and associated personal data.
Important: Account deletion is irreversible. Once processed, you will lose access to your profile, active bookings, and wallet balances permanently.
What data will be deleted?
Upon verifying your request, the following personal data will be anonymized or permanently erased from our active databases:
- Your full name, profile photo, and demographic details.
- Your registered email address and phone number.
- Your passport and nationality details (if provided).
- Your active session tokens (you will be logged out of all devices).
What data is retained and why?
Due to legal, taxation, and accounting compliance in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, we are required to retain certain transactional data:
- Financial Records: Past invoices, payment transactions, and historical completed bookings are retained for up to 7 years for taxation and audit purposes. (Note: These records are decoupled from your personal profile and kept as anonymous ledger entries).
How to submit a deletion request?
You can request account deletion using any of the following methods:
- From the Mobile App (Recommended): Log in to the BookZiyarat app, navigate to Profile > Settings > Delete Account, and tap the delete button. Your data will be erased instantly.
- From the Website: Log in to your customer profile on the BookZiyarat website and click the "Delete Account" button on your dashboard.
- Via Email: Send an email to support@bookziyarat.com from your registered email address with the subject line "Account Deletion Request". Our support team will process your request within 7 business days.
